Philosophy and Economics – Man and Land

Justice in Economics goes hand in hand with all other freedoms.

How do we see our relationship with land? Who created it? Who ‘owns’ it? If land has zero cost of production why is the price so high and why does it vary so much by location?

Why have people through the ages called land ‘Mother Earth’? Where does Justice fit in? How does this affect Economics? How does Economics affect us?

In the School we adopt the view that Justice is the ethical basis of Economics, and our understanding of our relationship to the Earth is critical to realising that Justice.
